Objectives

• Read an authentic French text related to common French foods
• View links to various food-related companies

Materials

• Computer with access to the World Wide Web
• Student Worksheet

Procedure

1. Ask students about their favorite foods, foods they don't enjoy, and foods that they think might be popular in France.

2 Students go to the site : http://www.adoptanescargot.com/faim.htm

3. Students will look over the text as directed and get a general idea about the site.

4. Students read the text carefully and answer questions as directed.

 

Applications and Extensions

Students choose one of the following activities :

1. Create and perform a jingle for a food ad.

2. Demonstrate one of the recipes found on the site.

3. Draw the map of your personal supermarket.

4. Survey the class as to their food preferences.

5. Make a menu for your new French restaurant.
